A whimsical independently produced animated story, intended to be experienced in VR. My role was to help the producers explore concepts and prototype ideas, on paper and in 3D. Rendering was done in Unreal Engine 4.

This small sample of the work was created using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter and assembled in UE4. We experimented with Quixel high-res photo-realistic environment assets but ultimately the direction veered towards a more stylized fantastical look. I enjoyed the process of working on terrains in UE4. I found it to be more tangible than the unity toolset, though similar. I was amazed by how much grass unreal can handle.

Shout out to the other artists on this team, from studios like Blue Sky in NY, who created some very great inspiring concept art, and from which I pulled inspiration or directly mimmicked, crafting this dirt car for instance.
